EMS Education Trainer

University Hospitals Bedford campus of UH Regional Hospitals, is a 110-bed, private, nonprofit, full-service, acute-care community hospital. Originally founded in 1908, the hospital has grown through the years to keep pace with an ever-expanding population and demand for high-quality, accessible medical care. Recent additions and enhancements include the addition of the UH Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute, offering invasive and noninvasive procedures; an MRI suite with separate entrance and parking; the Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Center; the UH Neurological Institute, offering general neurology services and advanced stroke care; upgraded CT capabilities; expansion of the Emergency Department; and renovations throughout the facility. The medical center also includes an Outpatient Surgery Center.
Responsible for development and delivery of the educational component of the EMS education program, in accordance with the essentials identified within the application for accreditation and the objectives of the program, for the maintenance, and ordering of minor equipment and supplies for use in the program. Develops students and EMS programs thru the educational process.Allocates resources effectively.
Position Requirements:
Emergency or acute care experience. Education and/or supervisory experience. Experienced public speaker. Demonstrated writing and speaking skills. Ability to establish good rapport with Administrators, Physicians, nurses and others involved in pre-hospital emergency care.
Education Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of municipal EMS service Ohio.
EMS Instructor Paramedic Level.
Completion of an EMT-Paramedic Program Back Ground in Fire & Emergency Services NIMS Compliant.
License Requirements:
Ohio EMT-Paramedic certification, Ohio Certified EMS Instructor or EMS Special Topic Instructor CPR Instructor ACLS Instructor

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
