Food Quality and Compliance Manager

Quality & Compliance Manager
Job Responsibilities:
Drives all Food Safety certification (IFS) related tasks, audits and certification(s) including writing or revising SOP's, policies and creating forms as required. Will be the primary contact with regard to training staff on HACCP and Food Safety issues and will be responsible for maintaining all IFS records
Reviewing current and potential products for quality issues and interacting with related factories regarding any issues or corrections. Serves as point of contact for operations staff regarding issues related to food safety certification standard, product quality and related areas.
Main Responsibilities
Works with management to develop pathways to relevant industry standards and certifications including but not limited to SQF certification, OSHA, Social Compliance standards, RSPO membership, etc. Maintains documentation related to these standards.
Submits product testing and buyer QA samples as required and will populate and maintain the Buyer Testing & Approvals calendar to track testing and QA sample due dates. Will maintain this calendar jointly with Director of Food Safety and Compliance.
Participates in artwork review on products developed as needed, as well as reviewing art reprints for current accuracy along all regulatory standards as needed.
Assists with management of nutrition and ingredient information for the Company, including but not limited to, populating and maintaining the QA database with ingredient, nutrition and other relevant information.
Special project assignments as required.
Understands the Food Safety Policies, GMP's, HACCP Principles and Food Safety Standards. Is a member of the HACCP Team.
Has responsibility to report problems with the food safety management system to identified person(s). Has defined responsibility and authority to initiate and record actions
Assists with the development & writing of SOPs and maintains all related documentation; contributes to relevant training programs related to SOPs.

Job Requirements:
- 2
years of corporate QA/Food Safety experience - SQF, HACCP, FDA regulations/certifications experience
- SOP writing experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Minimum of a 2-year degree in the Biology or Chemistry field, Bachelor's Degree in Biology or similar science preferred.
