Responsible for assuring all packaging materials are available to achieve scheduled production.
Order and control all materials in regards to price, inventories and availability within company policies and procedures.
Maintain a timely flow of receiving and purchasing paperwork to meet company accounting policies and procedures.
Utilize projection reports to ensure that inventories of materials are kept within company budgetary and inventory constraints.
Request, accept, compare and select bids from separate suppliers in order to keep pricing and quality as competitive and within company guidelines.
Ensure all materials are within specification as according to company quality programs. Ensure all appropriate reports are updated and controlled on a timely basis. Ensure all orders are given the appropriate lead time and transit time to meet production needs.
Order all supplies needed for all departments within technical and company guidelines.
Purchase all materials within company guidelines to ensure they meet all budgetary, inventory and quality parameters.
Ensure all co-packers are utilizing company parameter materials and inventory controlled within all company guidelines and audited quarterly.
Work with corporate personnel and vendors on all new materials required for market.
Upon notification of out of spec materials ensure the appropriate supplier is notified and all credit is promptly received.
Be a leader to all employees in manner, appearance and behavior and be a team player to all departments.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
