MAINTENANCE MANAGER for a prestigious div. HQs which is part of an international conglomerate.
JOB
Summary:
Responsible for all electrical and mechanical services and efficient maintenance of production, machinery, equipment, physical plant, utilities and grounds in accordance with state and federal regulations, company policies related to food safety and procedures.
Essential Functions:
1. Directs the operation and maintenance of steam, electrical, gas, water, and refrigerated service.
2. Develops, schedules and controls preventive maintenance program to maintain production machinery and equipment in proper working conditions.
3. Supervises and coordinates actively of workers engaged in the maintenance, electrical, mechanical operations.
4. Ensure proper maintenance of facility machinery and buildings.
5. Ensures adequate inventories of maintenance materials, supplies, spare parts and repair parts.
6. Supervise crib person as to level of parts and supplies on hand and location as to where the supplies and parts are stored. (This may be delegated to a maintenance supervisor if appropriate. Accountability remains with maintenance manager).
7. Provide staff training in maintenance of all related equipment and services.
8. Work with outside vendors on projects or repairs.
9. Make necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
10. Reviews production schedule and changes over equipment to new sizes or performs preventative maintenance.
11. Reviews downtime reports for equipment failure and correct.
12. Ensure a disciplined and safe work effort.
ADDITIONAL
Responsibilities:
1. Participates in the development of policies and procedures related to maintenance and safety.
2. Advise mechanics of recurring equipment malfunction and corrective action required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
1. Complete knowledge of all electrical and mechanical equipment and functions.
2. Ability to keep everything operating to produce in a safe manner.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, and
Experience:
1. Technical School background. Preferred Electrical License.
