Bedford, OH Bedford, OH Full-time Full-time $16 - $17 an hour $16 - $17 an hour Our objective is to hire a Deputy Court Clerk to join our team and provide administrative support to the court system.
The successful candidate will perform a variety of data processing, telephone duties and basic clerical activities.
This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
The ideal candidate will also have strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES may include, but is not limited to:
Act as receptionist and assist the public at the county, answer questions, and accept filings Accept new filings, prepare case files, and prepare receipts in a timely and accurate manner Enter case information into the computer system, process pleadings/motions as well as trial and pre-trial orders.
Set court hearings and send notices in a timely and accurate manner.
Receipt any additional monies required to complete cases and balance personal cash drawer daily.
Prepare daily appearance dockets and/or final dockets for all court cases.
Act as liaison between clerk's office and courtroom Serve as contact person for attorneys, prosecutors and/or police departments.
Process incoming and outgoing mail.
Process case transfers and appeal cases.
Performs other duties as needed.
